2017 Awards of Excellence in Housing

What an amazing weekend! The CHBA – Edmonton Region Awards of Excellence in Housing Gala was held at the Shaw Conference Centre this past Saturday. There were 39 members of the Kimberley Homes team (employees and their partners) in attendance to celebrate this past year’s successes, and set the tone for a positive start to 2017!

Our Team was recognized in three categories:

The Quartz is a perennial favourite for Kimberley homeowners, so it was very satisfying to be recognized in a Best Single Family category! We like to joke that if our Vice President’s Mom chooses this home design above all the rest, we must be doing something right!

The Matisse is a unique plan for us in our Gallery at Larch Park project. The combination of more traditional and more modern elements was a special challenge to our designers, and we couldn’t be more proud that it resonated with the judges. Thank you!

The Gallery at Larch Park was a double winner this year, both with the Matisse model and overall, taking the top honours as Best Multi-Family Townhouse/Duplex Project. The major features of this project include triple garages, rear decks, proximity to the Whitemud Creek Ravine, and fully landscaped yards.

The mood of the Awards of Excellence overall was very positive and optimistic about the future of the homebuilding industry in Edmonton, and it was encouraging to see so many colleagues and industry partners in attendance, celebrating our combined successes. There were so many beautiful Edmonton showhomes, customer homes, renovation projects, and industry partners, trades & suppliers to recognize. Congrats to all of the winners, and we can’t wait to continue working with you in 2017!
